This cherished family yacht is offered for the first time by a highly experienced and dedicated yachting family. Their previous yachts include a Fleming 55, a Grand Banks 49 Classic, and a Grand Banks 42 Classic.
All were ordered new. All were shed kept. All were commissioned and serviced by the authorized service centre, Delta Marine Service, who also take care of the famous sistership, Venture.
The family has grown, and they all have their own various cruising yachts now, bringing this mint Fleming 65 to market.
When not out cruising and exploring, this Fleming 65 lives in a boat shed in a private Lower Mainland marina in fresh water, protecting her gelcoat, bottom, canvas, and all systems from the elements. Her condition greatly belies her vintage, and one would not be faulted for guessing she is ten years newer.
The Boat Shed is available for rent.
This is the standard Fleming 65 layout with three staterooms. There are two heads in the accommodations area, and an optional day head in the pilothouse.
As with all Flemings, fit and finish is not only outstanding, it is among the very best of any boat yard. And it still looks and feels as new, with numerous custom features.
True to all Flemings, there are minimal steps needed to board, or to transit any part of the yacht, making for a thoughtful and intuitive layout. This ease of movement from space to space - whether on the decks, or throughout the interior - means added safety and comfort for owners and guests.
Board the boat to the side decks through opening gates, or from the broad swim platform through the opening gate to the cockpit.
The salon flows out to the cockpit - and vice-versa - through large double sliding doors.
The sumptuous salon is filled with natural light through opening windows, all with screens.
On the same level, the galley is next, and is the full beam of the yacht, with ample working space, refrigeration, and storage, for the most creative chef.
Down steps to the accommodation area with guest cabins port and starboard, laundry, and a guest head and shower. Forward to the master stateroom with its ensuite head and shower.
Also from the salon, up steps to the pilothouse with settee, table, doors to the side decks and forward, helm chair .
Up steps from the pilothouse to the flybridge lounging and dining area, the upper helm and the boat deck, with ladder back down to the cockpit.
The interior is finished throughout with extra optional teak panelling, Ultrasuede headliners, and gleaming teak and holly soles.
Also throughout:
The accommodations area on the Fleming design is accessed directly from the salon, not through the pilothouse. When accessed through the pilothouse, as in many other such designs, traffic needs to climb steps to the pilothouse, then down twice as many steps, usually curved and narrow, to the accommodations. This is not as safe, and it may disrupt the operator's focus.
Down the centreline hallway is the VIP guest cabin to port, the bunk guest cabin to starboard and the guest head and shower to starboard. The master is forward, with its ensuite head and shower.
The accommodations hallway is finished with teak panelling on the lower half, and Ultra suede on the upper half, divided with a raised teak chair rail. The ship's laundry is also in the hallway, behind a teak pocket door.
The forward MASTER has an island bed that was made 4” wider on each side, with cabinetry moved just slightly to accommodate. The bed has a hydraulic lift to easily access the extra storage space.
A recessed skylight with opening hatch, and two opening portholes allow plenty of natural light and fresh air.
Master ensuite head with granite counter top, storage lockers, teak panelling, opening porthole
The VIP Guest Cabin to port is finished throughout in teak and has two generous single berths, with storage under, and a teak dressing table / vanity.
The Starboard Guest Cabin has two bunks; one athwarthships from the other. There is the extra optional teak panelling in this cabin as well.
Guest Head is to starboard, forward of the laundry.
From the cockpit, open the double sliding doors to the breathtaking salon. The teak finish frames a soft, warm, and inviting space. Impeccably varnished teak tables with matched grains and beautiful inlays, satin varnished cabinetry and panels, with gloss on the high traffic areas.
Extra built in teak storage lockers in the aft area of the salon. The dry bar to port has glass panelled glassware locker.
Black leather upholstery with a custom C-shaped settee to starboard, and am L-shaped settee to port, with custom cabinetry in between the "L".
The galley is adjacent to the salon, and houses an abundance of storage lockers and drawers, some some standard, some customized at the factory. There is plenty of storage for everything needed for extended time aboard.
The Fleming's galley is the full beam of the yacht with the U-shaped working space to port, and the full size refrigerator, coffee station, and more storage to starboard.
The pilothouse is up a four gently sloped steps from the galley / salon area with day head to starboard, sitting area to port, and sliding pilothouse doors to the wide side decks, port and starboard.
It is the command centre, with Stidd helm seat, controls and equipment close at hand, and a superb view all around the yacht for safe, confident handling.
The pilothouse settee to port has a comfortable L-settee, upholstered in black leather, and a teak table to match those in the salon. It is a perfect place for mate and guests to join the operator, or for a quiet coffee in the morning, overlooking the anchorage.
The day head has matching granite vanity, undermount basin, Tecma head and wet locker with drain
The Flybridge is up a few steps from the pilothouse and tin addition to an upper helm station, it is a generous entertaining and lounging space, with room for a small crowd at table.
Boarding the yacht from a dock or a tender is easy and safe with only slight steps up through the port or starboard gates to the side decks, or to the swim platform, and then the transom gate. Absolutely no leaping required.
Outside, one can walk all around the vessel, under protected side decks, and be safeguarded by the high bulwarks and railings. This is especially useful when adjusting fenders and lines as one approaches the marina. The helm can easily communicate with the line handler through the pilothouse doors with no need for raised voices.
Cockpit, side decks, and foredeck are clad in teak.
Aft of the flybridge seating area is the boat deck, with ladder to the cockpit. Here are the two tenders, and room for plenty of other cruising toys.

The Fleming electrical systems are known to be a robust design, complicated in layout but remarkably friendly to use.
110VAC and AC220V and 24VDC panels, with circuit protection, are located in the pilothouse. Part of the AC panel is devoted to light loads which can be powered by the inverter. AC power is provided by shore connection, the generator, and by battery through an the inverters. DC power is provided by banks of batteries.
At sea, the batteries are charged by engine or generator driven alternators and while at a dock, by the inverters and chargers via shorepower.
Main engines are 800 hp MAN R6-800 with single stage turbo charger and intercooler, under water exhaust with internal water-lock muffler system; assisting with quiet operation.
